PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

1: GENERAL

Collecting and Returning the Motorhome

If possible try not to start your holiday on the same day you collect your vehicle.
We need to show you exactly how to get the most out ofyour motor home and this may
take some time. It is essential that the hirer should be given a thorough introduction to
the rental vehicle by our experts before the journey begins. Please allow up to 1 hour
foryour handover. Since the times for collecting and returning motor homes are
carefully planned, please return your motor home on time. A penalty of £25-per hour is
payable for time between expiry of the rent agreement and the return of your vehicle
(maximum penalty is daily rental charge). Should the late return ofthe vehicle make us
liable for extra costs (e.g. compensation for the next hirer), we reserve the right to pass
on these costs to you.

Please return your vehicle on time!

Bed linen/ Kitchen Equipment

Please ensure you bring your own bed linen, blankets, pillows, towels etc.
You MUST cover our upholstery; failure to do so may result in a dry cleaning charge. For
people travelling overseas we can make bedding arrangements, at an additional charge of
£12 per head.
Equipment, such as camping table, chairs and BBQ are included- please see inventory
list. Your motor home will include all crockery and other kitchen equipment.
2. DRIVING LICENCES
No one other than the drivers named on the insurance proposalform may
drive the hired vehicle
Drivers must be over 25 and under 75 years of age and have helda full driving license for
at least 3 years.
The current drivers licence must be unendorsed (except for speeding and parking
offences) and must be produced at the time of collecting the vehicle. Visitors from abroad
must hold a current international driving permit or license (Foreign license holders will
incur an additional insurance premium charge and a security bond payment is required).
Any current endorsements (within 3 years) will incur an additional insurance premium
charge.
Two forms ofidentity and national insurance number must be produced by all hirers
prior to collection day: one must include Full driving licence and the other form a current
passport, or if that is not possible, government ID card, utility bill or bank statement.

3. INSURANCE

Fully Comprehensive insurance is included within the hire charge. The vehicle is insured
for the period ofhire contracted ONLY, thus late return ofthe vehicle would incur a
traffic offence under the road traffic act. Hirers are advised to take out additional
personal holiday insurance. A £1000 excess payable bythe hirer is applied to all claims.
We reserve the right to obtain a pre-approval ofany amount up to the insurance excess
against the drivers’ or hirers’ credit card. Visitors from overseas must pay a security bond
prior to collection ofthe vehicle. The security bond is usually refunded 7-10 days after the
vehicle has been returned in a satisfactory condition. Please note there is a supplement of
£70.00 per week ifthe vehicle is taken out ofUK and Ireland. If the hirer fails to inform
us they will loose the deposit in full.

4. BOOKING DETAILS

A £250 non-refundable deposit ispayable at time of booking for hires of
3-7 days, a larger deposit may be payable for hires of 7 days +

The Hire Balance AND Security Deposit of £1000 MUST be paid on/prior to the
collection of the vehicle. Please allow 5 working days prior to pick up for BACS, cheque &
card payments, for cleared funds.
Security Deposits will be refunded within 5 working days of your return date, subject to a
satisfactory vehicle inspection. However if quoted need to be obtained for damage or
replacement parts caused by the hirer this may take longer. Credit card details will be
held for up to 6 months before being destroyed.

5. BREAKDOWNS

In the unlikely event of a breakdown, Jepson’s Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire requests
they are contacted immediately and when advised to do so, the hirer seeks the help of our
registered breakdown company only, quoting the registration number of the vehicle.
Hirers are authorised to request repairs up to the value of £50. Repairs costing in excess
of £50 must first be authorised by Jepson’s Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire PRIOR to
the work being undertaken.
Every effort will bemade to ensure your vehicle is repaired and back on the road as soon
as possible. At our discretion we may refund you per day lost of your holiday pro rata,
however no further losses will be compensated.
Should the vehicle be unrepairable on site, the breakdown recovery vehicle will recover
both the motor home and all passengers back to our premises. The daily rate will be then
be refunded, however should you decide to carry on with your trip no further
compensation will be due.

6. THE HIRER AGREES THAT THEY

a) Shall not carry more passengers than the seating capacity of the vehicle or allow the
vehicle to be overloaded. (6 SEATS & 6 SEATBELTS)
b) Shall not have any more occupants sleeping than designed for (i.e.) 2 x Adults and 4
x Children or 4 xAdults maximum
c) Shall not use the vehicle for carrying passengers or goods for hire or reward
d) Will be responsible to Jepson’s Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire for the cost of making
good any damage caused to the vehicle caused byimproper use.
e) Is responsible for any fines (including parking fines) which maybe incurred
during the hire period.

f) Shall not, without consent from Jepson’s Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire, remove the
vehicle out ofthe UK mainland or Ireland. See point 3 re; insurance.
g) Understands that no claim bythe hirer for loss or damage to personal belongings or
effects of the hirer or any person or persons will be considered.
h) Understands that any damage to the interior of the vehicle (including cigarette burns)
living or cooking equipment will be charged to the hirer in all cases and is not insurable.

7. PERIOD OF HIRE

The times and dates of the contract of hire must be strictly adhered to

No refund will be given for early return of your vehicle

8. CANCELLATIONS

All cancellations must be in writing. All deposits are non-refundable, but may be
transferable, at our discretion. All monies due and received within 6 weeks of the
commencement of hire are not refundable, except the insurance excess/damage bond,
which is refundable provided that no other sums are unpaid by way of deposit or
otherwise. Jepson’s Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire reserves the right to cancel hire if, at
the commencement of hire, the driver’s licences are invalid or not according to the
conditions set out above. In these circumstances the total hire charge will be forfeited.
Hirers are strongly advised to insure against unavoidable cancellation.

g. LIABILITIES

The hirer is responsible for all costs and expenses incurred as a result of offences against
the Road Traffic Act. The hirer is also liable for any uninsurable damages including tyres,
windscreen and any internal damages or breakages. The hirer will indemnify Jepson’s
Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire from any liability.
TOLL CHARGES must be paid in full at time of journey or a fine of £40 each way is
applied by the EFLOW  Toll company or counterparts in Europe. We will add credit card
charges and an admin fee to process. Customers using tolls in the EU and ROI must
bring Jepson’s Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire a receipt of payment of tolls before
security deposit is refunded. This the sole responsibility ofthe hirer. Failure to provide
receipt evidence may result in a portion of the deposit to be held for a further 3 months.

10. ANIMALS

All animals, other than guide dogs, have to be approved by Jepson’s Ribble Valley
Motorhome Hire at the time of booking. If approved, all damage howsoever caused by
the animals, will be charged to the hirer in full.

11. PARKING

The hirer may park, free of charge and at their own risk, one car at the collection location
for the period ofthe hire.

12. COLLECTION AND RETURN

Vehicles are available for collection Monday to Saturday, unless otherwise arranged with
Jepson’s Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire. Hiring’s start and finish at the collection
location, unless otherwise agreed.

Collection or return times which fall outside the dates and times given must be agreed
with us. The return of the vehicle is confirmed in writing, signed by the hirer and
Jepson’s Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire. Collection and return days are charged as per
day, or half day at our discretion.

13. PENALTIES

Cassette Toilet System must be returned as at collection- Emptied, Cleaned
& with the correct chemical. Un-emptied toilets will incur a £100 penalty.
Fresh water tanks must be kept topped up- if left to run dry the system will need bled &
may be damaged.
Jepson’s Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire reserve the right to impose a £50 valet penalty if
the vehicle is returned in a condition unsuitable for habitation. Please return your motor
home in the same condition you collect it
A starter supply of toilet chemical, gas & BBQ gas (where applicable) are provided upon
collection. However, refills or further amounts ofsame are at the hirers own expense. A
specified quantity of diesel is in the vehicle upon collection- you must return the vehicle
with this same amount. If the vehicle is returned short of diesel, time for refuelling & cost
of fuel is chargeable
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all our motor homes & if the hirer is suspected to
have been smoking in the vehicle, a £250 penalty will be applied.
Hirer authorises that their credit card maybe charged for penalties, parking and driving
offences and the insurance excess payable.
We also reserve the right to charge for loss of hire due to repairs caused during your hire
@ £150.00 per day, to be taken from the deposit. Please also note if we have to obtain
quotes for damage caused to the vehicle during your hire period, your security deposit
refund maybe delayed.

Jepson’s Ribble Valley Motorhome Hire reserve the right to vary the rates and conditions
of hire at any time and to decline hire to any person at any time without reason, this
includes the right to change vehicles when necessary.

Minimum hire period is 3 days unless otherwise agreed.
